Mayor Bill Beck resigned from his office at the beginning of a City Council meeting in a surprise move Wednesday night. Councilman Bryan Fullmer said that Beck entered the meeting and resigned, then walked out of the building after making brief remarks directed at the city and the Council. According to Fullmer, Beck walked in, told the audience he was resigning. He then told them he was tired of people who were too stupid to understand. Then he faced the council members and said they were too stupid to work with, too. "He said the town can go to hell," Fullmer said.
