Pooch Dog Admits War Heroics During Vietnamese War

I was stationed in Viet Nam from 1968 until 1970 as a member of an elite Navy SEAL unit. We were assigned to surveil and destroy North Vietnamese arms and supply shipments headed South. My children always wanted me to talk about my war experiences in that SEAL unit. But, I haven't until now. But, since the Archival Military Commission of U.S. Military Personnel has pieced together my history and published it here...

I might as well give my account of the events from my perspective.

Many people talk about the blood and guts of battle. For me, it wasn't combat that left the deepest impression.  It was their smell!

I have a more keen nose than most. And, by God! Them North Vietnamese little men must never have washed those black pajamas. Sometimes, they would be brought in for interrogation. I would circle them, sniffing their bodies from head to toe. Yuck! The scent of Kimchi and putrid rice was too much to bear.

Once, my platoon leader left me alone with a NVA prisoner while he took a break from interrogation for beer. When the little kimchi-loving Asian Johnny Cash Man-in-black pajamas wannabe tried to kick me, I circled around behind him and chewed his sorry ass into oblivion. The more he hollered, the more I worried and shook his little tiny hiney! I was about to circle around to the front and nip him a few inches shorter when my master came back.

But, don't take my word for it.
