The British Are Leaving. Yo! Ho!! Yo! Ho!!

BAGHDAD, IRAQ -- Just days after President George W. Bush's close encounter with the a couple of Iraqi shoes, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown paid a visit Wednesday to Iraq. During his visit, Brown and his opposite number, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, announced a plan to end British military operations in Iraq by mid-2009. Brown's stopover in Iraq followed a resolution passed by the Iraq Council of Ministers to allow British troops to stay in-country until the end of July.
